Tether, the leading stablecoin issuer, has announced a strategic partnership with Uquid, a Web3 e-commerce platform. This collaboration aims to facilitate Filipino residents in paying their Social Security System (SSS) contributions using the stablecoin issued on The Open Network (TON). In conjunction with this initiative, Uquid has launched a comprehensive user guide outlining the process of utilizing USDT-TON for SSS payments through its platform.
Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are thrilled to partner with Uquid to revolutionize the crypto shopping experience. Previously, users could only dream of seamless cross-border payment solutions that are both reliable and unrestricted. Now, we are witnessing the realization of these aspirations, and we take pride in being a driving force behind this transformation.”
The partnership between Tether and Uquid marks a significant step forward in integrating digital currencies into everyday financial transactions, particularly within the Philippines’ social security framework.
