The Nigerian Justice Emeka Nwite has officially announced that the ruling in the trial of Binance Holdings Limited, a well-known cryptocurrency platform, will take place on October 11. The platform, along with its two directors, is being accused of four counts of tax evasion due to their failure to register with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). Ayodele Omotilewa, the lawyer representing Binance, pleaded not guilty to the charges and requested the court to dismiss them. In the meantime, Tigran Gambaryan and Nadeem Anjarwalla, executives at Binance, were acquitted of similar tax evasion charges in June. However, they still face separate allegations of money laundering.
