Metaplanet Inc. (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 3350 / OTCQX: MTPLF), a publicly listed bitcoin treasury company based in Japan, has announced the acquisition of an additional 1,004 bitcoin, increasing its total holdings to 7,800BTC. The latest purchase was made at an average price of 15,134,304 yen per bitcoin, amounting to a total investment of approximately 15.195 billion yen.
The company reported aBTCYield of 41.7% for the period from July 1 to September 30, 2024, and an impressive 309.8% for the subsequent quarter. Metaplanet Inc. continues to utilize its Bitcoin Treasury Operations to enhance shareholder value, with a focus on increasing its bitcoin holdings while minimizing dilution effects.
