PRESS RELEASE
Dublin, Ireland — May 27, 2024 —
ETH
Ireland, the organizers of Ireland’s inaugural web3 hackathon and conference, is pleased to announce that the Fidelity Center for Applied Technology (FCAT) will once again be sponsoring the event, following the success of last year’s edition.
The hackathon and conference will feature a total of eight workshops focused on supporting the various bounties available, as well as three speaker sessions where experts in the field will present their ideas. Additionally, there will be four panels for more general discussions related to web3. This year’s event has attracted significant international interest, with companies like a16z, Ripple, and SEEBLOCKs, as well as prominent web3 organizations and grant programs such as API3, Aragon, SuperRare, Lido, Tally, and the Ethereum Foundation’s Ecosystem Support Program participating.
Ryan Kemp, Co-founder of
ETH
Ireland, stated, “Web3 is an industry driven by ownership, requiring a diverse range of skill sets. This event initially served as a gathering point for Web3 enthusiasts in Ireland. This year, we continue to provide that focal point while aiming to bridge the gap between the public and private sectors on the blockchain. ETHDublin is your gateway to this exciting world.”
To kick off ETHDublin, the
ETH
Ireland team has organized two team formation events to brief hackers in advance. They have also joined the global pizza party organized by PizzaDAO to commemorate Bitcoin Pizza Day. Furthermore, the
ETH
Ireland team will be participating in Blockchain Ireland next week, where they will be featured on a panel at Marharry Theatre, Trinity College, at 11:30 am next Wednesday.
Ryan Kemp concludes by reassuring potential participants, saying, “Don’t be intimidated by the term ‘hack’. As long as you can think critically, you have a place here. The hackathon is open to anyone with a laptop and a problem-solving mindset, while the conference element welcomes those eager to learn.”
In recent months, the
ETH
Ireland team has been actively establishing partnerships with other Ethereum-focused events worldwide, including ETHAmsterdam, ETHLondon, and ETHBucharest. These collaborations help raise global awareness of Ireland’s emerging web3 industry.
