Debut of Bitmains New S21 Bitcoin Mining Rigs Featuring up to 473 THs of Hashpower

Bitmain, a prominent manufacturer of ASIC bitcoin mining rigs, unveiled two new mining machines at the World Digital Mining Summit in Las Vegas. The new models, named S21 XP and S21 XP Hydro, are designed to be highly efficient, boasting an energy rating of under 14 joules per terahash.

The S21 XP air-cooled model offers a hash rate of 270 terahash per second (TH/s) with an efficiency rating of 13.5 J/T. At the current hash price of $0.0524 per TH/s per day and electricity costs of $0.04 per kilowatt hour (kWh), the S21 XP is projected to generate $10.84 in daily profits.

In addition to the air-cooled version, Bitmain also introduced the S21 XP Hydro ASIC mining rig. This hydro-cooled model provides a higher hash rate of 473 TH/s with an efficiency rating of 12.7 J/T. With the same operational costs, the S21 XP Hydro is estimated to earn $21.48 per day.

The release of Bitmain’s S21 series showcases the rapid pace of innovation in bitcoin mining technology. These efficient machines are setting new standards in the industry, potentially pushing competitors to improve their products. Bitmain’s focus on reducing energy consumption while maximizing profitability reflects a key trend in the sector, balancing costs with financial rewards.
