Cryptocurrency Scam Promoter Admits Guilt Could Serve Up to 20 Years in American Jail

Juan Tacuri, a prominent figure in the cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme known as Forcount, now rebranded as Weltsys, has admitted to participating in a conspiracy to commit wire fraud in the Southern District of New York. Targeting primarily Spanish-speaking communities in the United States, Tacuri profited greatly from his deceitful actions, raking in millions of dollars. Set to be sentenced on September 24th, Tacuri could potentially be sentenced to up to 20 years behind bars. His fraudulent activities involved deceiving individuals about the benefits of investing in cryptocurrency products offered by Forcount, which falsely claimed to provide substantial returns through non-existent crypto trading and mining. Instead of using investors’ funds for their intended purpose, the money was squandered on extravagant expenses and promotional events. Tacuri and his co-conspirators took advantage of investors’ enthusiasm and trust to further their scheme. As the truth about the fraud came to light, Tacuri and his accomplices encountered mounting complaints and eventually shut down their operations, leaving investors facing significant financial losses.
