June witnessed a significant decline in the NFT market, with sales dropping by 46.31% compared to the previous month of May, which had seen sales totaling $479.15 million. Ethereum-based NFTs dominated the market in June, raking in $146.10 million, despite a 50.15% decrease from May. Bitcoin NFTs followed closely behind, generating $114.42 million, representing a 48.34% decline.
On the other hand, Polygon NFTs experienced a positive trend, securing the third spot with sales amounting to $82.43 million, marking a 5.24% increase from the previous month. Solana and Mythos followed behind with $74.19 million and $19.93 million in sales, respectively, showing declines of 38.64% and 20.3%. The top-selling NFT collection for June was Bitcoin’s Pizza BRC20 NFTs, with sales totaling $29.17 million.
In terms of individual collections, Mythos’ Dmarket collection came in second place with $18.82 million in sales, while Ethereum’s Cryptopunks ranked third with $15.85 million. Bitcoin Puppets and Nodemonkes followed closely behind with $12.47 million and $12.33 million in sales, respectively.
The highest-priced NFT sale in June was Cryptopunk #627 from the Ethereum blockchain, fetching a whopping $836,149. This was followed by Bitcoin’s Punk #50, which sold for $306,725. Despite the overall downturn in June’s NFT market, platforms like Polygon managed to make gains, indicating a complex and evolving landscape.
