Argentina’s securities regulator, the CNV, has made a significant announcement regarding the official initiation of Argentina’s Virtual Assets Service Provider (VASP) Registry. This registry will serve as a platform for approximately 100 companies and individuals to apply for authorization to offer digital asset-related services within the country. In order to operate legally within the Argentine jurisdiction, companies must be registered with the CNV. The registry is still open for additional companies to submit their applications. Currently, the CNV has already granted authorization to 35 different companies, including four foreign exchanges who are part of the initial group.
